尊敬的同道们、专家们、朋友们:由复旦大学神经外科研究所、医院神经外科主办的上海华山国际脑胶质瘤高峰论坛暨第七届全国脑胶质瘤诊断治疗学习班将于年4月9-11日在上海召开。众所周知,脑胶质瘤是常见的中枢神经系统肿瘤,绝大多数为恶性。由于肿瘤呈浸润性生长,与脑组织无明确分界,外科手术难以彻底切除。即使采取手术、放疗和化疗的综合治疗,肿瘤仍复发。因此,为了突破目前胶质瘤治疗的瓶颈,用跨界思维,突破传统的贯性思维,超越传统的治疗理念和诊疗模式。从而,提高脑胶质瘤的研究和诊疗水平。本次论坛以"脑胶质瘤创新治疗体系与理念和策略"为本次会议的主题,聚集了脑胶质瘤临床和基础研究以及相关跨界领域的国内外顶尖学者,与大家分享最新知识和理念。我们相信通过学术交流不仅提高学术水平、增进共识、而且造福病患!推动医学发展。我们诚挚地欢迎各位光临!华山欢迎您们!上海欢迎您们!

Dr.Bergersmainclinicalinterestsarethetreatmentofbraintumorsinadultsandchildrenandofepilepsyrelatedtobraintumors.Hehasextensiveexpertiseinintraoperativemappingofthebraintoidentifythesitesofmotor,sensory,andlanguagefunctionandtherebyavoidtheirinvolvementorinjuryduringsurgery.Dr.BergerisDirectoroftheAdultHydrocephalusandShuntProgram,andhealsopracticesintheNeuro-OncologyProgramandtheRadiosurgeryProgram.
Hiscurrentresearchinterestsinvolveidentifyingmolecularmarkersingliomasascorrelatesoftumorprogressionandprognosis.ThisisdoneinconjunctionwiththeMolecularMarkerCoreoftheBTRC.HealsoworksinconjunctionwithDr.KrysBankiewicztotestsmallmoleculeinhibitorsinbraintumorsusingthedrugdeliverytechniqueofconvectionenhanceddelivery.Heisaco-investigatorwithDr.JohnParkinUCSFsComprehensiveCancerCentertodevelopimmunoliposome-directedtargetedtherapyfortreatinggliomasthatexpressEGFreceptors.OthercollaborationsincludefunctionalmappinglocalizationoflanguagepathwaysinthebraininconjunctionwithDr.RobertKnightandtheCognitiveNeuroscienceGraduateProgramatUCBerkeley.Dr.BergeriscurrentlythePrincipalInvestigatorofUCSFsSPOREBrainTumorProgram,fundedbytheNationalCancerInstituteandNINDS.
